Somehow I missed this juicy bit a couple weeks ago, but apparently Sean Cullen, the actor playing Topulski in The Pillowman at PCS, got an offer he couldn't refuse and so he's off to Broadway. In his place, Alan Nause went on last night for the first time, and word is, he's good. Whether it's Sean or Alan or Jeff Goldblum (who played the role on Broadway) or Dany Devito (whom I can't stand, I'm being random now) -- I still think you should see this play.




Rose asked me what I thought of the late night cabaret companion piece, "The Thugs." I said it didn't blow up my skirt. She said I need to put that in a review somewhere. Here it is as such!

Meanwhile, they've announced their 2007-08 season, and it looks like this:

Cabaret, A Christmas Carol, The Beard of Avon in repertory with Twelth Night. (If there is one play I never need to see again, it's Twelfth Night.) The World Premiere of Sometimes A Great Notion, adapted from Ken Kesey's great Oregon Novel. Doubt. Steve Martin's hilarious reinvention of The Underpants, and new plays A Feminine Ending and The Little Dog Laughed.
