Zum Mond! To the Moon!

Last week I posted my take on Portland Center Stage's production of Nancy Keystone's Apollo (running through February 8, 2009 at the Gerding Theatre). I hadn't planned to circle back to that topic, but recently caught the documentary series on American comedy, Make 'em Laugh, that's been running on OPB. A recent episode touched on the subject of satirical song and played a brief clip of the great songwriter Tom Lehrer. That baited me into searching for more of Lehrer on YouTube where I discovered his ode to ex-Nazi rocket scientist Wernher Von Braun, a central figure in Apollo.
