OSF wins $25K from the NEA

Congratulations to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for snagging one of 37 National Endowment for the Arts $25,000 grants for "Shakespeare for a New Generation."

The award doesn't really come as a surprise since OSF has a thoroughly established education program and proven track record of doing what the NEA was looking for: "targeting middle and high school students, and introducing young people to the power of live theater and the masterpieces of William Shakespeare." But still. Applause.

I'll be celebrating my birthday and the 4th of July in Ashland this year, so watch for my reviews of Much Ado, Henry VIII and Music Man later this year.
